No Real Ale
Closed in March 2008 after its parent company was hit by the combined effect of the smoking ban and the credit crunch. Laurel Pub Company, which also owns the Hogshead, Litten Tree, Slug and Lettuce and La Tasca brands, has closed about 60 sites across the country.
<< Another example of this bar chain typical conversions from shop to 'pub'. Usual 'fashionable' selection of food and 'drink'. Offers a cheap lager or cream 'beer'. Food served all day, may have music or disco some nights. >>
How to find: Part of the Chapel Road 'super-pub' crowd.
