Following a fire in 2004, that virtually destroyed this ex 16th century thatched country pub, (see pictures below), the pub was restored and reopened in 2005. It has a wooden beamed ceiling, wooden chairs & tables, and a quiet room. There are gardens to the side and front. It has themed dinner evenings and freshly home cooked food is served daily. Food served Noon to 2.15pm & 6.30pm – 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and Sundays Noon to 4pm. The pub is shut Sunday evening. Many country walks start and finish here.
