JD Wetherspoons
Wells & Youngs 'Courage' Directors Bitter, Marstons Pedigree, Greene King Abbot Ale, Guest Beers
A typical Wetherspoons - converted from a shop into a pub in 2000. It has a ‘conservatory’ with brick walls and a TV screen in the main bar area. The pub stands on land once owned by Sir Timothy Shelley, who was the father of the famous poet, Percy Shelley. The pub partakes in the normal JDW beer festivals & food clubs/promotions. Children permitted until 7pm. Food served all day.
OS Ref: TQ149027
How to find: Part of the Chapel Road 'super pub' crowd.
