A pub since the 1930’s, originally called the Corner House, then renamed the Sussex Potter it became a Beefeater. In December 2008, following a slight refurbishment (when it was aquired by Mitchells & Butler from Whitbread as part of a £78m asset-swap deal) it reopened as a Miller & Carter[This link opens in a new window](M&C) Steakhouse. It has a contemporary look, decorated in browns and creams. There are glass partitions inside and a plasma screen. Food served all day.
