Fullers London Pride; Greene King 'Morland' Old Speckled Hen; Harveys Sussex Best Bitter; Timothy Taylor Landlord; Guest Beers
This large 18th Century village pub has a 'smugglers' history and is food led but there is a strong local following in the beamed saloon bar that has a rare 'spinning jenny' on the ceiling.
There is a restuarant conservatory/function room, and excellent food is served both in the restuarant and bar snacks - booking is esstential for Sunday lunch and recommended at other times. There is an enclosed garden and a small outside play area, as well as a boules pitch in the car park.
Children are welcomed in the restaurant.
Live jazz monthly on Sunday afternoons. "Good food & beer."
OS Ref: TQ076043
How to find: East from village centre along B2225, where B2225 turns south turn east along unclassified road for about 100 yards.
