This four hundred year old roadside pub, the Rose & Crown, situated on at the north of the village on the A29 (part of the ancient Stane Street Roman Road), has had mixed fortunes over the last few years. Closed and boarded up in 2004, it was coverted to Oodles and opened up into more of a bar/resturant although there is plently of space for drinkers. There is a small garden to the front (next to the road). Food served from 11 until 10pm 7 days a week.
