A large, whitewashed, two storey popular and cosy village local. The decor is mixed with traditional elements such as a partly beamed ceiling, pewter containers and horse brasses, alongside not-so-old prints, pictures and ornaments. The main interior is spacious, homely and comfortable, with the bar counter to the centre rear and a restaurant area to the left. A small conservatory to the rear left leads onto a back garden with views of the South Downs and the banks of the river Adur. There is also seating at the front. The pub has both darts and cribbage teams.
