A true village local dating from the 16th century, although some of the frontage is Victorian with a creeper growing up the outside which hides some of it. One bar is bare floored and there is a small room with a football table and board games in. There is a monthly quiz night and a live band performs monthly (see website for details). There is a traditional garden. Food is served daily at lunchtime and in the evening with daily specials.
