A large corner 17th-century inn, the inside is separated into a number of areas, there are low ceilings and a log fire giving it a cosy feel in the lounge bar, the public bar has a pool table and juke box. There is a lounge bar and separate restaurant (where there is no piped music). The pub also has two outside gardens. A varied menu is offered Tuesday to Sunday and on Bank Holiday Mondays. Quiz night is Tuesday from 8.30pm. Occasional live music on a Sunday, usually once a month (contact the pub for detials). Food served Tuesday – Saturday 12–2.30 and 6–9.30, and Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays 12–4pm. Closed Monday (except bank holidays) until 5pm. The landlords have recently gained thier Cask Marque accreditation. A beer festival is planned for June 2009. Please check the web-site for more information.
