Harveys Sussex Best Bitter, Sharps Doombar, In Bev (Marstons) Draught Bass, Mild or Old, Guest Beer.
After being closed for awhile, this village pub reopened in May 2009 as a genuine free house, and has featured in the last two Good Beer Guides. There is a converted 1962 BR carriage built onto the side of the pub, that served as an extension to the restaurant, which is situated on the left of the bar. To the right is the main bar. A centrally situated log fire seperates the bar into a large L shaped area with a smaller section where a tv shows live sport if requested. Prints of old Sompting on the walls reflect the local history. Tuesday is quiz night, and cribbage nights are now becoming very popular. A large south facing deck area to the rear of the pub provides a wonderful space to enjoy your drink and food. Children and dogs welcome.
How to find: In village about half a mile south of the A27 on the southside of the road.
