This superb 'village' pub has a large local following; and rightly so. Originally known as the White Horse, a pub has been on this site since 1610. It is a popular cosy local, located at the end of the historic Tarring High Street. The pub has a split level interior with several rooms, one of which has a welcoming fire in the cold winter months. There is a low beamed ceiling with warm lighting. The bar is dominated by a large illuminated Watneys display. Darts are played here and there are many darts trophies/shields on display. There is a small secluded garden and well behaved children are welcomed. A GBG regular this pub also holds occassional beer festivals.
