Shepherd Neame Bishops Finger, Harveys Sussex Best Bitter, Fullers London Pride, Guest Beer
This pub dates back to the 1850’s when it opened as a beer shop. It was renamed the 'Brewer’s Arms' in the 1870’s and became the Cricketers in 1876. It is said that the pub is haunted and there have been reports of footsteps, items being mysteriously moved and lights being turned on and off. The pub itself is very comfortable and has two bars. There is cricket memorabilia on the walls. Darts is played in the public bar area. There is a large garden at the rear with enclosed play area, and a large covered area where three beer festivals are held, usually in November to celebrate winter beers, April, and July to coincide with the ever growing Broadwater Festival. Over a hundred different beers are served throughout the year. Traditional home cooked food is served daily at lunchtime and Friday and Saturday evenings.
