Greene King Abbott; Fuller's London Pride
This former coaching inn was built in 1741, originally called the Rose & Crown its name was changed in 1763 to it current one. A recent "upgrade" has seen the range of beers cut and the food become more prominent. "Aimed at the upper quartile" the web-site states but from recent visits one wonders really what this pub is all about.
A confused area with various dinning tables, computer screens in picture frames displaying adverts of all things in a never ending PowerPoint© presentation, high stools and a (supposed) high tech website (just try getting an answer when you make a compliant) mean that this pub is no longer worth recommending.
Food is served all day (subject to change and them having staff to cook for you).
