Friendly unspoilt village pub dating from 1791. It has a traditional atmosphere, offering a warm welcome. The front bar has a large fireplace & the pub has distinct areas for diners. Spiral staircase leads to the function room. Magnificent views of the Sussex downs from the steeply terraced garden. Food served 12-2pm & 7-930pm. Local CAMRA pub of the year in 2000 & country pub of the year in 2002.
