A building has been on this site since the 1830’s, although it did not become a pub until much later (1870). The ‘Alex’ was repainted, redecorated and renamed a Tavern (previously 'Arms') in 2009. It is a corner street local with a separate bar acting as a dining room. The main bar has varied comfortable seating and darts are played in the back bar. There are ornamental fire places in the main bar and dining area. At the back is a large secluded garden and a function room is available.
OS Ref: TQ157031
