Situated on the banks of the Arun and forming the west boundary of the branch area. Anita Roddick in her biography (the Body Shop is "big" in Littlehampton) refers to be born in the little hamlet of Littlehampton - what happened. Littlehampton is also part of the urban sprawl running almost uninterupted from Brighton.
Littlehampton has a certain reputation and we would not recommend a Friday or Saturday night in town. However, there are some pubs worth a visit at other times.
Public transport is good and trains come and take you away from Littlehampton either towards Arundel and Amberley (on their way to Horsham and London) or towards the east and Worthing and Brighton) and there are frequent bus services out.
