2006 was the year the GBG was sponsored by Waverley TBC (The Totl Drinks Company). Its 864 pages featured some of the best real ale pubs in the British Isles. The cover has Andrew Flintoff quoted as saying "The Good Beer Guide ... the prefect book when you're out!" - Pun intended.

Comments:
Now we are getting there. Still the youngsters (well nearly) on the front and the guide is certainly a 'tome' now (feel the thickness). But what about all the typos? Even pubs we've never been to (or for that matter the county) have glaring errors in the description - some one needs to do better proof reading on the guide.

Comments:
Ahhh, this one. The controversy raged over this cover. Personally, I thought the bottles in the background should have been beer - not wine! But the real question was "Should the GBG have a woman on the front?" As I said the debate raged.
