Ferring is situated west of Worthing and Going with the "village" on the coast and stretches back to the A259. Ferring is domiated to the north by Highdown Hill, with the Millers Tomb and Iron Age fort (although not as impressive as Cissbury Ring) and Highdown Chalk Gardens.
Ferring itself is quiet, the village area doesn't have any street lighting (or pavements) and parking is very limited except at the beach by the Blue Bird cafe (no real ale but good food served all day until about 6).
